Rev.+Bryan+Thacker.jpg

Bryan K Thacker

April 28, 1960 - April 20, 2019
Certified 2017

Bryan was born in Auburn, California. By middle school age, Bryan knew God wanted him to teach His Word. He became involved in the Royal Rangers at the tender age of 7. Royal Rangers gave him the name, "Lil White Bear" (a jest, because he was not little!) He spent endless hours in and outside of meetings, working with the boys on cars, preparing for the Thanksgiving Day Parade or working on events for camp. He had a deep connection with the boys. To some boys he was like a second father and to others, an older brother. In Bryan’s testimony he stated, “Now 50 years later I’m still teaching Rangers, boys and men and with God’s help I have done my best to serve God, my church, and teach all who cross my path.”

Edwin J Rill

September 19, 1924 - May 30, 2019
Ordained 1953

Edwin received his call to the mission field when he received the baptism of the Holy Spirit, in Granite City, Illinois. Edwin met and married Ruth Burke, a daughter of a missionary in Africa. In 1950, they went to South Africa. At that time the S.A. government was not allowing American missionaries. However, they were able to go as private citizens. In 1963, Ed found employment with the Sacramento County Welfare Dept. where he served until 1980. After retiring from secular employment, Edwin re-entered ministry with gusto and he and Ruth returned to South Africa. They found many opportunities there, such as lecturing and teaching at the Covenant Bible College in Durban. In 1989, they returned to Sacramento where he formally retired. However, he continued to serve at Capital Christian Center as a counselor and director of the outreach ministry.

Steve was born in Oildale, California. He and his wife, Cheryl, transferred to NorCal in 1977. Steve was Senior Pastor at Alderpoint Christian Center. Here, God brought a great revival and people who had run as far as they could from God, were drawn back. His last 24 years, David pastored at Crossroad Fellowship of Newcastle (Auburn, CA). This was a small church with a big heart for missions. Steve had a big heart for missions. He not only gave financially, but also enjoyed putting "boots on the ground" with the Wagner's.
