2022 Annual Report
2022 has been a great year! God has been so good! We have experienced a lot of training, innovation, and progress in the churches throughout our District! As we have continued to ‘Build Pastors’, we have been able to equip, encourage and edify our ministers.
Here are some of the highlights:
Leadership Development
2022’s Leadership Seminars were presented by Rev. Rick Dubose, our General Assistant Superintendent. He walked us through the principles of Spiritual Heritage, which included bringing up spiritual sons and daughters, and establishing a vision and transition plan that enables pastors to prepare for the future.
Special thanks to our host churches, New Life in Dublin, CA, Crossroads Church in Reno, NV, Real Life Church in Natomas, CA, and One Church in Modesto, CA, along with the many Livestream HUB churches across our district! Without your willingness to provide meeting space, along with food and snacks, we couldn’t have presented this Seminar to the hundreds of ministers who took advantage of this training!
Just Between Us
JBU is an invaluable ministry to our pastor's wives, credentialed women, and widows, led by our Executive wives, Valerie Allen and Linda Huddleston, under the direction of Teri Herndon. JBU includes Coffee Connections, Podcasts, personal connections, and their annual retreat. The goal of JBU is to provide ministry to our credentialed women and pastor’s wives to equip them to minister to their chosen areas of ministry.
This past fall, JBU provided a coffee connection at each of our Minister’s Retreats, and had an awesome Fall Retreat. The retreat was held at Harvest Church in Elk Grove, CA, where our speaker Rev. Michelle Thompson effectively ministered to over 80 of our women ministers.
2022 Ministers Retreat
Our Minister’s Retreats have always been a yearly time of refreshing, reconnecting, and ministry. This year was no exception. We had three Minister’s Retreats in 2022 held in Lake Tahoe, Scotts Valley, and Las Vegas, with close to 500 in attendance. Rev. Choco de Jesus, our General Treasurer for the Assemblies of God, did a great job ministering at each of our retreats.
Church Planting
Church planting continues to be a big part of the District's plan to reach Northern California and Nevada. We were excited to be able to have new churches start in our District and churches become a part of the Northern California and Nevada District. These new ministries represent a wide spectrum of styles and cultures that continue to enable us to reach the diverse population God has given us! We're excited about the potential of these new churches and the pastors that God is continually calling to our District!
Special Thanks
God has blessed our District with a great team at our District Resource Center! Special thanks to our District officers - Pastor Bret Allen, Dr. Sam Huddleston, and Dr. Jay Herndon, our ministry teams, our administrative staff, and especially my administrative assistant, Jackie Lynn. They have enabled our office to effectively minister to the pastors and churches in our district.
Respectfully Submitted,
