2024 Annual Report
2024 was a great year! We saw our churches and pastors throughout the Northern California and Nevada District! 2024, experience encouragement, connections, training, and progress as we focused our efforts on “Building Leaders”.
Here are some of the highlights:
Leadership Development
We continued our “We Build Leaders” podcasts. Through these podcasts, we have taken multiple opportunities to connect and train our pastors in new and creative ways.
2024 Ministers Retreat
Our 2024 Ministers Retreats provided a time of refreshing, reconnecting, and ministry. Our two Minister’s Retreats were held in Monterey and Las Vegas, with close to 400 in attendance. Glen Berteau did a great job ministering at both of our retreats.
Leadership One Day
In September we had a leadership one day seminar on discipleship at Hilltop Community Church, pastored by Jim and Debbie Heden, in Richmond, CA. David Buering and David Lim were our main session speakers, and we had multiple breakout meetings during our lunch time that focused on how we could incorporate discipleship into different ministries within the church.
Outdoor Nations Campfire
In January we gathered ministers from all over our district for a retreat that focused on ministering to the Outdoor Nation. The focus was on discovering and effectively ministering to individuals who normally wouldn’t come to church who are actively involved in outdoor activities.
Pastoral Care
With the number of ministers and churches in our District, there are always opportunities for ministering to our ministers. 2024 was a full year of pastoral care. Hundreds of contacts were made which included face to face meetings, phone calls, zoom and Facetime meetings. I am thankful for a great Pastoral Care Team! Our 2024 team consisted of Bob and Linda Bridges, Terry Cedarblom, Dennis Conrad, Teri Herndon, Jeff Miller, Nathan Rhodes, and Dean Sanner.
Church Planting
Each year we have new churches start and become a part of the Northern California and Nevada District. These new ministries represent a wide spectrum of styles and cultures that enable us to continue to reach the diverse population God has given us! 2024 was a great year for church planting! Here are the new churches that started and joined our district:
Special Thanks
The AGNCN District is blessed with a great team at our District Resource Center! Special thanks to our District officers - Pastor Bret Allen, Dr. Sam Huddleston, and Dr. Jay Herndon, our ministry teams, our administrative staff, and especially my administrative assistant, Aaron Perez. They have enabled this office to effectively minister to the pastors and churches in our district on an ongoing basis!
